Ibanez Artist AR-2000 - Serial Number F0320042
I had been looking for an Ibanez AR-3000 or AR-5000 when this came
along, I could not resist it. This is not an AR-3000 or AR-5000 but is
still a beautiful guitar. Not only are the flames on the front
attractive but also the back with the great finish makes this a truly
beautiful instrument.
I bought this in 2005 through the main dealer of Ibanez in Singapore.
Ironically, on that day I happened to be in Singapore and a friend of
mine (fellow Ibanez freak Louis See) called me to tell me that the store
was offering a 50% discount storewide. By the time I got to the packed
store in the afternoon, this guitar (which I had been eying for quite a
while) was still there. All the Gibsons and Fenders were gone and I have
to think how fortunate I was to get this guitar.

長い間（1980年代初期の限定生産の）AR3000、AR5000を手に入れようとしていたんだけれど、このモデルを目にした時、もう抑えきれず買ってしまった...。
これは確かにAR3000でもAR5000でもないけれども、それでも美しいギターだと思う。トップのトラ目もすごく目を引くけれども、バックのフィニッシュもとてもきれいで、ほんと、素晴らしいギター。
これを買ったのは2005年のことで、場所はシンガポールの正規販売店で。運命のいたずらか何か分からないけれど、ちょうどシンガポールに（商用で）行っていた時に、やはりイバニーズのマニアの友人（ルイス・シーという人物）が電話をかけてきて、「あの店、全品半額セールやってるよ！」と。午後になって、ごった返しているその楽器店に到着したら、ラッキーなことに（随分前から目をつけていた）このAR2000が売れ残ってたんだ。ギブソンやフェンダーのギターは残ってなかったというのに、このARを手に入れることができたのは、自分でも幸運だったと言わざるを得ないと思うなぁ。
う〜ん、好き放題に意訳してるけど、TOEICで960点強のスコアを取ってるんで、あんまり心配しないで。（爆）
