TOM1979AR50CW
おそらくアメリカ在住の Tom と名乗る方が所有し、世界最大のオークションサイトである e-Bay オークションに出品している（2015年8月21日現在）1979年製AR50CWです。
このギターについては、ご本人から突然メールが舞い込み、「これって、AR50なんですか？」という質問が...。案内されていたオークションの画像を見ると、うん、確かにこれは「あれれ...？」って感じ。

I understand you are a very well respected expert on Ibanez guitars. Perhaps you would be interested in helping me identify my instrument.
I believe it to be an AR50 CW (1979) but it may be a transition model. I have the details and photos up at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/231649032692
The confusing factor is the location of the switch. I have not seen an AR50 with the switch located at the 4 potentiometer knobs on the lower bout, they are always at the top. I did see one with the switch at the bottom but the jack was on the front face and not on the bottom side. This was also a higher model but I don't recall the year.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

ってことで、もう、和訳はしないけど（笑）、示された文面にもあるように、PUスイッチの位置が変...。こんなの見たことないし...。
ま、見てみてくださいな。（笑）
ということで、今まで知っているAR50は、二種類。他のところで紹介しているから詳細は割愛するけれども、大きな違いはボディの「バインディング」の有無。だけど、私が持っているバインディングなしのブラックの AR50 は24フレット仕様で、PU セレクタは（抱えた時に）上に来るホーンにある...。というか、PU セレクタは、通常その位置にあって、トーンやヴォリュームコントロール部にあるのは、う〜ん、AR30 だけしか知らない...。
ってことで、Tom さんには、「ICW に投稿したら分かるかも。」と返信。そうしたところ、あらら、既にマニアックな人がちゃんと答えてた〜。
しかも、ちゃんとカタログデータも載っていて、「Ibanez Jr. Electric Guitars」というシリーズの1本だとのこと。なるほどねぇ〜、知りませんでした〜。
確かに、この Burgundy カラー、つまり、「ブルゴーニュ（地方のワインの色）、即ち（笑）、CW (Cherry Wine) のフィニッシュってのは見たことないなぁ...。レアなのは間違いないけど、でも、欲しくない。（笑）
